As I believe I've mentioned in a couple posts, For Audrey is one of the colors I've been wanting to try for a while.  I picked up a bottle at Sally Beauty the other day, since they were having a buy-a-Seche Vite-get-a-China Glaze-free sale, and I love it.  It's a beautiful robin's egg/Tiffany blue and it's been making me feel feminine and springy in this bit of unseasonably warm February weather we're getting in California.

I decided I wanted the flourish design to be mirrored for my two hands.  This was tricky, since I only have one double-ended stamper.  I ended up pulling out the smaller, green end of the stamper and using it to pick the image up off the plate and then transfer it to the large, pink end.  A couple of the stamps, both normal and mirrored, ended up a bit wonky, but I don't care.  I'm sure that my stamping skills will improve with practice.

  • Sinful Colors Basecoat (I need a new one!  When I checked this weekend, Walgreens had none.)
  • China Glaze "For Audrey"
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White On"
  • Seche Vite topcoat
  • Bundle Monster Image Plate BM04, stamper, scraper, and other necessities for stamping.

(I know it doesn't show the polish well, but I think this picture looks cool.)

  • Start with clean, dry nails and a well-ventilated space.
  • Apply basecoat to all nails, let dry.
  • Apply For Audrey to all nails.  I think I needed 2 coats.  Let dry.
  • Stamp all nails with the flourish design from BM04 and White On.  Let dry.
  • Top all nails with a coat of Seche Vite.
