I had a fun day with some friends last week, complete with yummy desserts (compliments of Le Boyfriend) and girl talk and nail painting. Because my friend Mary couldn't make it (something about an appointment or some such important thing), she sent her bottle of OPI Turquoise Shatter along with her sister, with a request for me to blog about it if I tried it out.

Of course, I had to try it while I had the chance.  This is 1 coat of Sally Hansen InstaDri Silver Sweep (though I really should have used two, there's a little patchiness from the shatter polish) and 1 thin coat of OPI Turquoise Shatter.  To get the best shatter effect, I dabbed the polish on in short, uneven strokes.  As usual, there's a layer of Seche Vite over the top.

I really ended up loving this combination.  This manicure showed signs of wear very quickly (photos taken less than 48 hours after application) because of my choice to use only one layer of the silver polish I think.
The crackle effect shows up very well with Turquoise Shatter, and I particularly love it over the silver.
