I just happened to be at ULTA after seeing a few swatches of ORLY's fall collection, and Fowl Play just had to come home with me.  I've been wearing it for 4 days, and sure, I've been in bed with the flu for 3 of those days, but I have almost no tipwear and only one tiny "texting" chip on the corner of my thumb.

The color and formula on Fowl Play are both fabulous.  I used 2 coatsone thin coat and one thicker coat.  If you were doing very thin coats, you might need three, but I felt that the color built very quickly.  Fowl Play has red flakies with a duochrome shift (red-orange-green) and blue microglitter suspended in a dark purple jelly base.  There might be another color of glitter in there, but those are the main colors to my eye.

Most of the photos online really don't do this color justice—it's really much more dynamic in real life.  This photo comes pretty close to capturing how it looks to me, although it still looks a little washed out.  Click to embiggen, though, that seems to help.  The red flakies catch the light and look like glowing embers trapped in purple glass.  I'm definitely going to be wearing this color in the fall, it's such a perfect shade for autumn and winter.

One more picture, at an extreme angle to show you more of the duochrome effect.  Love this polish.  Lovelovelove.

Do you have any lemmings at the moment?
