Hello and thank you to all my lovely readers... today, my blog turns one!

All photos indoors, compact fluorescent lighting.  Pay no attention to the slightly dodgy looking bits of backdrop, I had to photoshop out some of my table.

For my blog's first birthday, I decided to recreate a manicure I did before I even started blogging.  I had been wearing ORLY Glitz and Glamour, and had gotten some tipwear after a few days.  Rather than take it off, I transformed into a ruffian manicure with two thin coats of NYC Chinatown, leaving a gold crescent at the base of each nail.

Here's a picture of the first time I wore this manicure!  If anyone is curious, I was making stuffing, and the recipe is here.

Thank you all for reading and following in my first year of blogging!  I'm not sure if I've really gotten any better at the photography and the writing, but I sure have gotten better at painting my nails!  I've written 96 posts, and this is my 88th set of nails of the day photos!  Plus, I've painted nails for several friends, and there were a few of my own manicures that escaped photographing.  And, of course, my nail polish stash has grown immensely.

Happy Wednesday!  I hope the rest of your week goes smoothly.  I'll be back soon with more :)
