Good morning, happy 4th of July to my American readers... as soon as I finish typing up this post I'm going to scamper outside to take a photo of my nails and come back in to post that.  I'm inordinately proud of them.

Also, you will have to forgive the photo quality here... my lovely accomplice took all the photos and did not notice the HUGE light flare coming off the hood of the car behind me... it really did a number on the focus and exposure.  I did what I could with Photoshop, but that wasn't much.  Some day, I'll get good photos of this dress!

I'm still feeling a bit under the weather, although I'm suspicious that it has to do with something that's blooming.  Meanwhile, I've been keeping up with my exercise routine, mostly, and actually counting my calories as I go along... what a difference that makes!  Anyway, the result is a happier Frances with more control over her diet.  Also, with sore abs.  And legs.  And probably after today, arms and shoulders as well.   I just have to keep reminding myself that this means it's working!

I posted about this dress before, when I'd first completed it... it's really amazing what a difference curled hair and white shoes make.  Oh, and the attitude.  When wearing poofy sleeves, confidence helps!  One of my friends called it my Minnie Mouse dress, on account of the sleeve poofs and the color.  Maybe next time I'll wear it with a giant bow in the middle of my head?
