Hello and happy Saturday!  I meant to get this post up last night, but I ended up getting home much too late, so I just went straight to bed.  But now it is Saturday, so I am sitting here with my morning cup of coffee and typing away.

I'm pretty proud of this design, to be honest.  I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get the gradient to work right, but it ended up looking surprisingly realistic.  It is a little excessive feeling to have a house on each nail... I think I might try a diorama effect with a different scene on each nail.  Only one house per hand seems a bit more reasonable.

I also seem to be trying to figure out how many nail polishes I can use in one manicure:

For this design, I started off with basecoat, then applied a thin coat of Pure Ice Kiss Me Here to create a foundation for the sponged gradient.  I though a white base might make the colors too bright, but a medium grey would support the darker look I was going for.  Then I sponged on a gradient using Color Club Wham! Pow! (orange) & Poptastic (purple) with ULTA Blue Streak.  Once the gradient was dry, I brushed on a smattering of silver glitter (Sinful Colors Queen of Beauty) before stamping the houses from Bundle Monster Image Plate BM-224 with Sinful Colors Black on Black on each nail.  Then I added a little uneven black french tip so that the houses wouldn't be floating in mid-air.  Finally, I applied my standard topcoat (NYC Grand Central Station) and was done! Phew.

What do you think of this sunset haunted mansion look?  What Halloween-y subject should I attempt next?
