Why hello!  Today I have for you another manicure using the adorable pumpkins from BM-222.  I really did want to take these manicure pictures with one of those adorable little ornamental pumpkins you can get this time of year, but I did not have one, so I went with the next best thing:

You'll have to pardon the somewhat lopsided fingernails, but... I'm very happy with how today's manicure turned out!  I was hoping to get a lit Jack o' Lantern effect by painting an oval of yellow polish where I planned to stamp each pumpkin, and it worked!  I also wanted to try using a stamp the same color as my gradient to see if that would create an interesting fade effect, and it did!  I was very excited.

I started out with a coat of Zoya Gwin and then sponged a gradient on each nail using a cosmetic sponge with Gwin and Sinful Colors Black on Black.  I made the gradient shorter on the ring fingernails for an accent, and used Sinful Colors Pull Over to make little ovals for the glowing eyes and mouths of the pumpkins.  I really wanted to make sure the yellow had plenty of time to dry, so then I stamped the swirls from BM-201 on all the rest of my nails, did cleanup, and applied topcoat.  Once all of that was done, I returned to the accent nails and carefully stamped the pumpkin from BM-222 over the yellow spots I'd made.  I finished applying topcoat to even everything out, and, ta-dah!

And, since I'm on such a pumpkin-y kick, a little bonus recipe for today.  I call these lovely things Pumpkin Cheesecake Smoothies.  They're not really cheesecake, but they taste almost like it, and you can justify having them for breakfast as part of a healthy diet!  And that, in my book, is awesome.

Pumpkin Cheesecake Smoothies:
In a blender, combine
1/2 C pumpkin puree
1/2 C honey greek yogurt
1/3 C milk
6 ice cubes
pumpkin pie spices to taste (ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, & cloves)
until smooth.  Pour into a glass and garnish with honey, if desired.
Serves one.
