Hello, hello!  I hope you'll forgive me for the lateness of this week's (well, last week's) outfit posts... I had to schedule SOMETHING to show up today!  Doug and I went out of town Sunday for a friend's wedding, and we ended up adding a day at the Happiest Place on Earth for a belated Doug Birthday celebration.

What have we been doing to deserve such an escape?  Well, mostly painting my parents' garage red.  Doesn't it look fabulous?  Eventually the doors will be grey.  Well, eventually we'll get the whole darn house painted.  But for now, let's celebrate small victories!

I've been having fun vintage-ifying modern pieces in my wardrobe.  In this case, a Calvin Klein dress I picked up at Ross a few years ago.  I figured the skirt would be big enough to support a petticoat, but the lining is much closer fitting and was smooshing the petticoat down.  Solution?  Put the petticoat on between the lining and the skirt.  Problem solved!  Plus, my legs are protected from sitting directly on the scratchy petticoat.

Honestly though?  The whole outfit was just an excuse to wear the polka-dot shoes.
