I set out to create a red manicure on which I could use my newly won (yay!) fimo apples from the Born Pretty Store.  I ended up with this:

Which is really not the same thing, but still very pretty!  I think it reminds me of poinsettia plants around Chrstimastime.  The design is very subtle, and was a bit tricky to photograph, but I love it!  It's red and feminine and vampy and still just interesting enough that I don't feel like a complete nail art slacker.

I started with a layer of Sinful Colors Basecoat, followed by two thick-ish coats of China Glaze Naughty and Nice, a fabulously vampy maroon jelly from Christmas 2010.  I then used Sally Hansen Quick Brick to stamp the abstract floral pattern at the bottom of Bundle Monster Image Plate BM-204.  I finished everything off with a coat of NYC Grand Central Station, my current favorite quick-drying topcoat.
