Hello, all!  I meant to post this last night, but I fell asleep.  So I'm posting it now.  I'll show you all my Hallowe'en costume tomorrow, I suppose, and maybe by Saturday I will have painted my nails again... they're woefully nubbly and terribly uninspiring for nail art.  Sigh.

Oy.  We'll talk about this when I run out of  things to post this week, okay?  For now, I have photos from our very exciting outing on Tuesday...

Doug and I made a trek to a pumpkin patch with our friend Sara.  I suppose that we should have gone earlier, as the pumpkin patch was pretty well picked over by the day before Hallowe'en!  All the same, we managed to each find a pumpkin that we liked, enjoy a bumpy tractor ride, and soak up some beautifully sunny (if somewhat warm) fall weather.

I wore my new plaid skirt set out to the pumpkin patch.  The wool ended up being a bit warm for the weather, but I had a black tank top on under the blouse, so I was able to take off a layer when I got too warm.  The jacket was entirely unnecessary.

I'm not sure how the buttons on the skirt are supposed to line up... If I put the label at the center back and the two skirt hanger dealies at the sides, the buttons end up to the left.  Looking at the pictures, I wonder if I should have left them centered instead.  Doug and I found the set at the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store for $6, and it has a few quirks, but it was too adorable to pass up.  I had to replace a button on the blouse, and I think I need to take off the top skirt button and move it over, it looks like it was adjusted in the past for a larger waist.  The skirt was also shortened at some point, which is kind of amazing... it must have been a LOT of plaid before it was taken up!  It's still a lot of plaid... but I feel very festive.
