Now, I am not a Sports Person, but my parents are, and I'm going to go be sociable and watch the Superbowl with them on Sunday, even if I'm mostly in it for the good food.  But I have to show a little team spirit!

I decided to try out the saran wrap technique for a simple and understated design in the SF 49ers' team colors... good for the somewhat subdued sports fan, or a more conservative nail polish environment!  The technique is pretty simple and quite versatile, so you could easily swap out the colors to represent the team of your choosing.

After my basecoat was dry, I applied two coats of Sally Hansen InstaDri Quick Brick and let it dry completely.  Working one nail at a time, I applied Mary Kay Gold Leaf and then used a wadded up piece of cling wrap to remove some of the polish, leaving behind a marbled design.  Once I'd completed the marble pattern on all my nails, I sealed the design in with NYC Grand Central Station.

I really enjoyed playing with the cling wrap marbling technique, and I think I'll be trying it again in the future!
