Doug and I only felt up to walking yesterday morning, and that seems to have been a good decision, because by evening the poor fellow was in bed with a fever.  I have been ministering to him with cups of hot tea, but it has put rather a damper on the weekend.

Some ducks were out taking a walk too, but they seemed rather put-off by our presence:

I have been doing all manner of mending and things in hopes of getting my closet cleared out and in working order before we leave.  I have been meaning to fix the facings on this little dress for ages, and when it wound up in my mending pile I realized that it might be a good chance for me to test out the sleeve option with extra fabric instead of trying to resurrect the pathetic facings.  And I'm glad I did!  I rather like the little sleeves... I think they're much better in real life than on the pattern.  If anything, I might adjust them next time to make them a little more poofy!
