I'm not sure why I look so terribly morose in all of these pictures... perhaps because it was an unseasonably warm day and I was entirely stuffed with hamburger and milkshake and trying to pretend I felt every bit as slim as I had in the morning?  I'm not sure.  Either way, I assure you that I was not really so unenthusiastic!  One of the women in the choir I sing in mentioned that she had an old hat that she wanted to give me, and it was sitting on my chair Wednesday evening at rehearsal!  I took it home, gave it a good steaming to get it back to some semblance of its original shape, and wore it to our Evensong service on Thursday.

I still need to do a little more work on it... some of the beads are missing, and I may have to replace the lining entirely, but it is quite a pretty hat all the same.  I promise better close-ups once it's entirely restored!
