Yikes, it's been a while since my last post!  Just after Thanksgiving we learned that some of Doug's family is coming to visit this Friday, so nearly all of my free time in the last week and a half as been spent cleaning and tidying and finishing a few last-minute house projects.  I'm going to try to queue up all the photos I've taken for the blog though so things aren't completely quiet around here in the coming weeks!

Our last day to put out leaves for pick-up was December 3rd, so although these pictures are just over a week old our yard looks very different now!

I don't wear orange-ish shades very often, so I was glad to be able to pair this dress with a lot of my bakelite pieces that I otherwise don't wear a whole lot.  And, of course, everything about this was really just an excuse to wear my leaf hat, which has a rather limited season and which I don't wear half as much as I ought to during the fall.

The green dress you may remember from last winter, and I clearly have yet to find that last button!  I also still need to finish the hook and eye on the waist, although I disguised my procrastination with a belt this time around.  I'm promising myself that I'll sew on the hook and eye soon... maybe when the set of 7 buttons I ordered on Etsy to replace the 6 on the dress arrive?  It would be nice, after a whole year, to have this dress actually finished!
