Ah, the challenges of winter blog photography... sometimes you end up with lovely pictures in the snow, sometimes you end up with rather grainy pictures taken indoors because it's almost completely dark out at 4 PM.  And sometimes you were planning on taking pictures outdoors and then your zipper decides to fail catastrophically and you decide that very broken zippers are best disguised in the comfort of your own home.  The joys of vintage!

So now the skirt is in the mending pile, which is a shame because brown is not one of my favorite colors to wear (have you noticed?) and as a result this is the inaugural wearing of this snazzy little '40s hat.  Which I clearly should have been wearing all fall and winter because it's awesome but it is also brown, so it has been sadly neglected.   I'm open to suggestions here... How do you make brown a fun exciting color to wear?  Because this hat deserves a few more outings before winter is up!
