Why lookie, it’s a nail polish post! And let me tell you, my hands have been taking a beating from all this travel. I keep forgetting to moisturize them, too, which doesn’t help. Today’s nails are a bit unusual in that they are posted sans cleanup… this was as neatly as I could apply my polish! Of course, there is a reason that I’m not also showing you my RIGHT hand!
I started with two thickish coats of Revlon Royal over my standard Sinful Colors Basecoat. I know there’s a bit of visible nail line in the photos, but these are full sun and a bit overexposed… I couldn’t see any in real life. To jazz it up, I decided to add stripes on my ring fingers and thumbs with Mary Kay Gold Leaf. I had to go over the stripes twice to get them opaque. Everything was topped off with NYC Grand Central Station topcoat.
I wasn’t totally happy with how the stripes turned out, but overall I think this was a fairly successful design, all things considered! Hopefully I will manage to paint my nails again before I get home, but if not, you’ll be stuck with outfits only for the rest of the week. Now I must tuck into my hotel bed, and schedule this to post in the morning!
