NOTD: Vera Bradley-inspired daisies

I’m finally home!  Yippee, woohoo.  And, I’ve finally painted my nails again!  As I mentioned before, while we were in Wisconsin my aunt gave me an amazing graduation present of Vera Bradley bags, which were turned into a gift card for easier travelling.  Of course, when I went to the local store to turn my gift card back into a bag I got terribly distracted by purses.  I’ve been carrying a canvas bag or my camera case in lieu of a purse for a while, so it was nice to get a real purse to use!  You’ll see the whole thing in the next outfit post, but for now, here is a manicure inspired by the pattern of the bag.

I, um, had some trouble lining up my white background spots with the black stamping on top, but I think it turned out pretty well all the same.  I’m looking forward to doing more complex designs now that I’m back home.

For this design, I started with two coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Rapid Red over my standard Sinful Colors Basecoat.  Then I stamped the daisy design from Bundle Monster Image Plate BM12 with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On diagonally across the tips of all of my nails.  I used that as a template to gently blob/tap on more white polish in circles where each of the daisies ended up.  I used the daisy stamp again with Sinful Colors Black on Black and tried to line up the new daisies over the white circles… obviously, I had a little trouble with that part!  And of course I topped everything off with my NYC topcoat.

What do you think?  Is matching my nails to my purse just too much?
