Lobstah

Hello!  Please do pardon the patchy image quality in this post… Picasa just does not like red.  And these pictures have a lot of red.  Figures.  Anyway, with that out of the way… I know that a while ago when I posted one of my standard casual outfits a few of you were interested in seeing more of my day-to-day ensembles.

To be honest, one of the biggest reasons I don’t do more “everyday” outfits on the blog is that about 25{d4e357baf3946b0fa3242cfa65232654f6e657a5582ee09ab921feb99801b9ac} of them would be this dress.  It’s comfy, bright, has an infinitely adjustable waistband, works as pajamas in a pinch for travel…. all good things, as far as I’m concerned!  But I jazzed it up with a couple of new accessories to keep it interesting.

I picked up the vintage lobster brooch a few weeks ago at one of my favorite little antiques shops, mostly because it’s comical and whimsical, and also because I clearly needed some sort of lobster something as a memento of my time in New England.  I also (finally!) picked up a red petticoat!  I went to have a poke around the Bettie Page store in Boston and it seemed as good an excuse as any.
