Badger badger badger…

I feel like the time is just flying by!  I’m into the third week of my adventure, which seems absurd.  Today I have another installation of my casual-and-coffee series, since pretty much all of my days have involved quite a lot of coffee.

I’ve been looking for a zip-front house dress for a while for days on which I feel particularly lazy or don’t really want to pretzel my arms around to find my zipper.  I was pleased to find this one in blue, since blue is really one of my favorite colors although it’s rather underrepresented in my closet.  As a bonus, it matches almost perfectly with my cozy fuzzy blue sweater.

On the flip side, orange is definitely NOT my color, so I challenged myself to add some orange accents to compliment the Chicago “You Are Here” mug I picked up on my way home from Wisconsin last year.

nnI’m super happy to have finally gotten an Erstwilder badger brooch!  It’s been on my wishlist ever since I discovered Erstwilder’s whimsical pieces.  Since I have family in Wisconsin, all things badger are always a hit.  Not to mention, as a child I had a series of picture books featuring the adventures of a badger named Frances!  So clearly, I absolutely had to have a badger brooch for me.  Did anyone else read the Frances the Badger books as a kid?
