April Showers

I realize as I set about writing this post that I have been absent here the whole past week.  I had a week “off” from class, which I spent in equal parts frantically working on classwork and avoiding the computer at all costs.  I’m back now, though, and I have passed my midterm exam of sorts and am on to part two.

Spring has been very hesitant in arriving this year.  A few days of warm weather and then we’re back below freezing again.  I have absolutely no flowers on my daffodils, they’ve all been too confused!  I’ve been eager for the weather to switch over, though, so I’ve been wearing a lot of lighter dresses with thermal underwear and wool coats.

I purchased this dress at the tail end of winter after letting it languish in my Etsy favorites for quite some time.  I was torn on whether the adorable novelty print was worth the somewhat iffy condition.  With the dress in hand, the condition doesn’t seem so bad but the whole thing is a bit on the short side for me.  I’m not sure whether it’ll stay in my closet permanently, but for now I’m willing to fake it with a belt… because umbrellas.
