Well, Boyfriend and I were up at the crack of dawn to go fishing, but still no luck. My nail polish did match the incredibly warm Eddie Bauer parka I borrowed from my granddad, though…
Today’s nails are painted with Zoya Ivanka, which I picked up at ULTA the last time I was there looking for the new collections from the other companies. Ivanka is a gorgeous fine glitter/giant glass fleck sort of finish, and the particles reflect colors from ocean blue to apple green, with the general color of the polish sitting at a medium green color with just a drop of blue. And so sparkly! They remind me of those giant green June beetles.
For these photos, I applied three very thin coats of Ivanka over the Sinful Colors Basecoat and topped it off with NYC Grand Central Station. I know some people have trouble mixing Zoya polishes with other brands, but this combo seems to be working fine for me. A few nails are a little dinged up, though, because the cold Wisconsin weather made them dry rather slowly.
I may have to try a gradient combining Ivanka with her blue-er sister, Charla soon…
