Beachy Blue

Hullo!  I hope you all have had a lovely holiday weekend if you’re in the US, and a lovely regular weekend anywhere else.  It’s been hot and muggy here, and after a few air-conditioning-less days, Doug and I decided to make a day trip getaway to the beach.

In the subsequent days, we’ve fixed our little A/C problem, but nothing beats cool sea breeze and splashing waves on a hot summer’s day!  We were also both a bit under the weather still, and a bit of frolicking in the surf was just what the doctor ordered.  As a Northern California native, it was quite fun and novel to be on a beach that wasn’t frigid and foggy… it was actually quite pleasant to splash in the water a bit.

As you may have noticed, my love affair with Crocs sandals continues.  I was hopeful that the wedge version of these would be a liiiiittle more 40s and less 70s, but they’re comfy enough that I don’t think I mind!  I don’t wear much brown, but I felt like it would go with the most things, so hopefully you’ll be seeing a lot more of these shoes as the summer goes on.  What do you all wear as summer footwear?
